Music

My music is a distillation of a range of influences including electronic dance music, computer programming, and western classical music. Developing it is an ongoing process. More on my music page. I perform regularly in New York and elsewhere, and release music on Anticipate Recordings.

Ripple

Ripple is my own software, written in the Supercollider programming environment. The goal of Ripple is to provide me with ways to introduce elements of chaos in to my sound design, and to exert strong control over the nature of this chaos. I’m working toward making it a tool that’s well-made and intuitive enough to release to the world.

Fine Diving

Fine DivingThe event series I help run. Our motto is: The Austere, the Lush, the Hypnotic and the Startling. Sign up for the mailing list if you want to know when the next one is!

Unsimulatable

Unsimulatable is a melding of audio (by me) and visuals (by Joshue Ott) in to a tightly synchronized, highly orchestrated performance.

Shark Attack

Shark attack was a series of concerts/parties held at Stay in Manhattan. We featured a diverse range of performers and media, all with a focus on atmoshperic and experiemental sounds (though we tended to roughen things up a bit as the night wore on). Performers included David Last, Praveen, Jason OS, Joshue Ott, composers Anna Clyne and Judd Greenstein (writing for a string quartet containing, among others, Jody Redhage), Drop the Lime, Craig Colorusso.

Web Work

I work as a freelance and contract web developer. I have a range of skills (front end, back end, php, java, javascript, dhtml, ajax, insert additional buzzwords here ) which has put me in the fortunate position of generally always having more opportunity to work than I have desire to take advantage of. Sites where I’ve played a major role include Barneys.com, NineWest.com, and FastMetropolis.com.
