Off to Ithaca
Doing a gig with Josh, and a Ripple workshop. We’re sharing the bill with Hemiptura, who make some really nice, very funky techno. Check out their latest release here.

a few things I’m looking forward to in 2009:
- A new release of my Ripple software
- a new album on Anticipate (soooo close to being done)
- Some gigs in fun places (Ithica in January for the Light in Winter festival, Boulder in April for the Communikey festival), hopefully Europe in July, and then maybe a US tour in the fall
- president Obama
- putting together some more Fine Diving events
- making some live sets available online. I have a pretty nice one I’m going to edit just a tiny bit and give to the good folks at SoundScaping.net
Robert Henke and Jay Aherne. Good stuff. Check it out!

Thanks to those of you who can to my Ripple demo today in Belgrade. It was a pleasure to be able to share my work and ideas with you. If you’d like updates on the software, join my mailing list (there’s a form in the upper right hand side of this page).
I’ll try to report a bit on what I find here, but no promises. Right now, time to deal with jet lag…

Fine Diving 004
Saturday, September 20th
Eight hours of deliciously experimental and satisfyingly
thumpy music and art on the Brooklyn waterfront.
Absolutely free.

Joshue and I are playing Le Poisson Rouge, a brand new club opened up by Ronen Givony, the same guy responsible for the awesome Wordless Music series. We’re opening for NYC new music pianist Kathleen Supove, and electronics legend Morton Subotnik. Apparently Supove will be playing pieces by cool NYC composers Anna Clyne and Missy Mazoli. It’s going to be a fun night in a brand new classy club.
It’s nice to be laying low after a travel-filled spring. Here’s me and Crissy doing a silly performance for a few friends in our buddy Tom’s kitchen. I think everybody should do this kind of stuff.
